Research programme: Cycling of substances in the environment, mass balances, modelling of environmental processes and risk assessment

Training topic: The use of advanced analytical chemistry and molecular-biology methods for the determination of contaminants in plant samples and in performing human health and environmental risk assessments related to irrigation with treated wastewater. Special emphasis will be placed on quaternary wastewater treatment and on evaluating the reduced risks to human health and the environment associated with the use of such highly treated wastewater.
