Dr. Boštjan Pregelj

Boštjan Pregelj is a researcher at the Jožef Stefan Institute, where he works on modeling, control, and optimization of hybrid and hydrogen energy systems, fault diagnostics, and industrial automation. He graduated in 2004 and earned his PhD in 2009 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana. He has participated in numerous national and European projects, including leading the FCGEN project, and has contributed to the development of hydrogen technologies and advanced industrial control methods. He is the author of numerous scientific publications, a mentor to doctoral candidates and students, and an active member of the IFAC, EUCA, HydrogenEurope, SPIRE, and SRIP ToP technical committees. Since 2022, he has been teaching industrial automation at the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo mesto.
